Un des sept arts, la peinture fait penser de facto aux tableaux exposés dans les plus prestigieux musées, à l’instar de la Joconde de Léonard de Vinci. Or, elle est une forme d’art intemporelle qui a su remarquablement traverser les époques, aussi bien avant Jésus-Christ que la Préhistoire, l’Antiquité, le Moyen-Âge ou la Renaissance. Si être peintre n’avait rien de gratifiant, aujourd’hui sa démocratisation a fait des petits peintres de l’ombre des artistesprotagonistes de la société. Peinture à l’huile, acrylique, aquarelle, pastelle ou technique mixte, la peinture subjugue sous toutes ses formes.

En quoi consistent les techniques mixtes ?
En peinture, les termes "techniques mixtes" - aussi connues sous l’appellation "mixed media" - désignent un procédé de création qui comporte l'emploi d'au moins deux produits d’art différents, des matériaux ou des liants de nature différente.
L’une des méthodes classiques les plus connues consiste à peindre d'abord une œuvre à la tempera pour la recouvrir entièrement ou partiellement avec de la peinture à l’huile. Les techniques mixtes ont pris tout leur essor avec l’avènement de l’acrylique.
En plus d’être compatible à plusieurs produits d'art, on peut intégrer à cette peinture différents médiums de textures, des éléments naturels (papiers, sable, coquillages, plumes, végétaux séchés…) collages, graffitis et transfert d’image. Ce qui permet aux artistes d'exprimer leur créativité au maximum.

Description
Autoportrait en technique mixte et dorure à la feuille. Inspiré au départ par les couleurs douces du printemps. Aux fils des coups de pinceaux, les lys se sont immiscés et agrémentés de bleu et rose. Avec une dominante de bleu dans la composition pour affirmer le côté "rêveuse" et créativité.
