Black and white has imposed itself for these new creations. The blackness of the background, the cutting out of deep shadows and the luminous whiteness give them the sought after visual impact. The use of only one size for the canvas gives a formal oneness to these works and accentuates its repetition effect.
Through the themes that he tackles, the artist introduces a radiography of our society. From a gallery of emblematical portraits - heterogeneous pantheon – a contemporary and popular iconography draws itself. The practiced fascination of these pagan idols is given as food to the insatiable appetite of the consumer citizen. Each canvas tells its own story and adds its own music to the media cacophony which parasites and enlightens our lives.
ZoolooTV plays with codes - with archetypes – in order to sublimate them and to divert their meanings. The recycling of pictures found on the internet, in magazines, and in the papers enables him to deal with themes such as loneliness, seduction and to draw a dark and romantic picture of our occidental society.
