Georgi SHISHKOV

I was born on the 21st of august in 1950 in Plovdiv,Bulgaria. I was interested in drawing since I was very young and my dream have always been one day I could make my own pictures and exhibitions.
I`m painting teacher in High School. My big love for the Sea oriented me to the marine landscapes and when I got to know the creativity of the great russian artist I.K. Aivazovski and bulgarian marinist Al. Mytaffov.I turned completely to the marine landscapes. Even thought I`m marinist during the years I was interested in doing research and study and collect information about big artists like Shishkin, Repin, Brullov and others from Russian school and also for Leonardo,Rubens,Michaelangelo, Rembrand, Salvador Dali and other big masters.
Since 1973 until now I`ve painted almost 650 pictures.I`m a member of the Society of the Painters in Kardjali,Bulgaria,where I live and work for more than 20 years.I have participated in many exhibitions in Bulgaria,including national exhibitions in Sofia,Plovdiv and Burgas.There are many paintings,that I have done in galleries in Bulgaria and in
private collections.Also there are my paintings outside of the country bought by collectors in Spain,Germany,France,Turkey,Kuwait,USA,Canada and Izrael.Very often I make pictures by order of my clients. I paint basically with canav and oil.My pictures are in realistic style with romantic shade. I draw the Sea in its different states,but my
favourite theme is the stormy and violent Sea.I often visit towns and villages that are by the Black Sea and I make a lot of photos and pictures of the Sea.Except for the Sea I also love to paint the Nature in its different seasons and the Forest landscapes. Lately it`s been an enormous pleasure for me and a challenge to paint a pictures with biblical themes. Because I pay too much attention on the details sometimes."
