Jose Manuel RIVAS

José Manuel and Jorge Rivas were born 34 and 35 years ago respectively, in the beautiful bay of Cadiz. In 1993 Jorge moved to Madrid and Jose Manuel to Orlando, Florida. Despite the distance they continued exhibiting their paintings together in Madrid, Cadiz and Orlando.

Jorge's style evolved following a well-defined direction, while Jose Manuel's style took very drastic turns. Both of them have remained outrageously figurative.

Jorge's magical and flamboyant palette sweep us away on the path of his origins, filled with timeless fiestas, sensuous dreams and the artist as a witness to his age.

With Jose Manuel we are transported into an extraordinary enchanted world, where the most diverse subjects of the moment are treated fancifully and humorously.
