Maria Teresa was born in a seashore town called Silvi Marina, on the Adriatic Coast, in Abruzzi, Italy. At a very young age she came to Canada with her parents and  lived in Montreal, Canada.  Presently she lives with her husband in the beautiful Laurentian mountains, overlooking ski hills and lakes. It is there that Maria Teresa creates hand made, intricate shaped forms of ceramics, watercolor paintings, ceramic on canvas and floorcloths made from durable canvas or better known as floor art. M.T. has over 15 years of art education before attaining the goal of self discovery and art as she feels it.

Maria Teresa Ronca's ceramic creations have been bought by tourists from all over the world, Australia, Brazil, United States, Europe and Africa. in 1996 one of M. T. ceramic creations was chosen by the Quebec Art Council and exhibited at Rockerfeller Centre of New York. On February 2000, the well known French Canadian newspaper La Presse gave Maria Teresa a three-page extensive report of her biography and pictures of her creations. She as also given many other publicity reports on Italian Canadian paper and community television and radio interviews.
