Benoît MERIAU

Benoit Meriau was born in Cholet on March 20, 1959. Draughtsman as of his youth, it points out himself at the school and spends much time apart from the courses with his professor of drawing. Very interested by painting, it produces its first picture at the 16 years age with the box of painting which his parents offered to him. It will be pointed out in some exposures but this artist remains discrete. Influenced by Dali, Magritte and Renoir, it works the detail and its preliminary drafts are true works. Although he does not want to be categorized, its painting is surrealist and the fantastic dreamlike one which composes them makes it possible us to travel in front of each painting.
