Lluís Massó i Garriga was a Catalan artist who was contemporary of some painters such as Salvador Dalí or Pablo Picasso, but, due to life circumstances, could not start to develop his art until the age of seventy-three. Nonetheless he was prolific, leaving an estimated 350 paintings before his passing away in 2003. He always refused to sell any of his work, only giving some pictures away to relatives and close friends. Nevertheless he gave his inheritors permission to find art collectors who would care for his work.
