Jose Maria LAZARO

José María Lázaro is a self-taught painter whose style is predominantly Realist. His paintings are tales that lead us into a world where beauty is linked to antique objects. His simple themes are not only well represented but, by way of colors, light, and form, the artist carries us with poetic emotion to the heart and soul of those objects, full of history and almost on the verge of extinction. Lázaro paints daily in his Madrid studio combining his labor of creation with the transmission of his art knowledge and incomparable technique to groups of novice artists who attend his classes at the famous shop of Arte Lázaro.
