Ernesto CARDOSO

   Ernesto CARDOSO is born in Porto (Portugal) in 1964. He arrived in France with his familly at the age of four and lived in Troyes. He studied architecture first at the Art School of Troyes and then in Paris (Ecole des Beaux Arts).
At that time, he was already painting.        
After his studies, he worked for few years in an Architecture Agency.At the same time he participed to some collective exhibitions in Troyes and in Paris. In 1999, he decided to live in Provence and work only at his painting.In 2000, he creates with a group of artists the collective Libres comme l’ère.Libres comme l’ère has a manifest : « live and create far away from big cities ».  In August 2007 Ernesto Cardoso presented « Variations et réminiscences latines » at la Tour d’Argent in l’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, where you discovered and liked Ex-Nihilo. Ernesto Cardoso works also for set designers and for interior decoration.
