It has now been 10 years that David Jamin has worked as a professional artist.David was born in Nimes, Southern France, 24th November 1970, his passion for drawing started when he was a very small child and has continued throughout his life. This love and dedication has developed into his own unique style. He incorporates many deferent techniques when using oils, thereby producing a wonderful palette of emotions, the mixing of techniques in this way allows David to achieve even greater depth to his canvas, which he loves. His use of other media i.e. charcoal, chalks, pastel, in addition to oil and acrylic, enables his free spirit to take him where it will, to satisfy his need for variety. During this journey of discovery David has worked for a time with watercolours and, as with oils, used a variety of techniques to give again strength and depth to his paintings. For short periods of time David still returns to working on paper, but in the main he now works on canvas. The technique which is very important for him is constantly evolving and is only there as a means of showing the great depth of strength and emotion within the artist for the subject that he is painting. “The aesthetics are of less importance than that of the eye, this is the power and the strength”, he explains. This artist’s love of freedom, plucks at the very strings of sensitivity and emotion. He lives his paintings as he lives his life, with great passion and determination. David’s work is to be found in many galleries of fine art, in France, the United Kingdom, Belgium and Switzerland.He has been rewarded many times with prizes and has the trust and respect of many professionals in the art world; but for David it is always the admiration and passion from his public that is his best reward.
