Jean-Noël FESSY
Sculpteur
My themes deal with human numbers and relationships, with the six billions heads herd to which we belong. To me this number is the heart of most of today's problem, whether spiritual or material. Concretely I mostly put up installations, works in progress. They are usually figurative, monumental and often ephemeral. These sculptures are made of collected materials such as cardboard, wood, stones, vegetals, etc. I put them up either deep in nature or downtown, either in an artistic or a commercial location.
Back in my workshop, I carve (or model) smaller and sweeter (not always) things : children, animals, or others ; it still must deal with Life. In winter I carve snow and ice.
