Domingo Delgado Velez was born in 1932 in Huelva, a coastal city in the South of Spain. He attended the prestigious Fine Arts School of Santa Isabel de Hungria in Seville. Domingo Delgado is a painter that attempts to find poetry in human life and in life itself. His still-life pieces, urban scenes, landscapes and portraits are of figurative style accomplished with a highly polished technique. He takes special delight in experimenting with colors and unusual patterns of lights and shadows. Delgado is particularly attracted by people's expressions. He sketches, with exceptional accuracy, the defining traits of each individual's personality. His works can be found in public and private collections in Spain, Latin America, and United States
