Anna CASSARINO

I was born in Como on the 12th October 1953, but since I was 19 I have been living for about 5 years amongst Brighton, Paris and Salzburg, studying and working, until I came to Florence. Here I got my diploma at the Art Institute and started then my activity as designer of objects for the house, lamps made of paper, glass alabaster for the production in series and single pieces. I made at last object in metal, papier-maché and fabric that were seeming more and more living of an own life.
Since 1990 I started painting to state the autonomous communication that I feel in forms and colours, in plants and animals, that became more evident after two long jurneys in Mexico, Guatemala and Costarica.
Since 1997 I give form to the presences that make my house, that is also my studio, an island in the sky and at the same time the head of the building.
