Born 1933 in Paris, Terence Baldelli
now shares his time between Paris and his art studio in the French
countryside.
He has taken part in all the major contemporary Parisian art exhibitions (FIAC etc.) He exhibits worldwide ; his works can be found in private collections and in museums in France and abroad (Spain, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Scandinavia, Switzerland, USA …)
Baldelli is a magician of the raw materials he works with. Whether it be steel, bronze or wood, when it passes through his fingers, his own identity takes over the once rigid matter. It yields to his vision and his will. Steel is cold, harsh and hard by nature, and yet Baldelli bends it, shapes it and transforms it, giving it sensuality whilst keeping intact its angles, its edges and its agressiveness. Né à Paris en 1933, Terence Baldelli se partage aujourd’hui ent With perfectly formed lines, flluidity and power, Baldelli’s sculptures are symbols thrust into space from their pyramid base. They are perfectly balanced, or voluntarily designed to appear off-balance to create emotion.
Baldelli is constantly reminding us that sculpture is three-dimensional, his sculptures turn, as his work should be seen from all angles, each being different, though making a perfectly balanced whole.
With Baldelli, the rough and the refined walk side by side. He shows us life as it is : simultaneously tough, poetic, always beautiful.
