Of Rumanian origin, Ioan BADER arrives in France in 1979.
The painting gives him the occasion to plan its questioning on the man and its fate there, combining its personal philosophic concerns in symbols of which he considers that they should, belonging to the collective culture, speak to all about the world.
Refusing itself in any didactisme, he is allowed carry by the associations of images, the recollections, appropriating scenes of former pictures to distort them through his own creative imagination.
His faith in the representational painting rests, indeed, on the virtue of this one to arouse the enigma beyond what it represents in any evidence.
