Artistic approach
Fine arts always fascinated me and painting is one of my preferred expressions for the discovery of light, as well as the way we can travel in a world so theatrical. I paint since the age of 8 and the search for originality is part of my evolution.
Biography
For over 35 years, I was one of the main television director at CFTM-TV "TVA" Montreal, Qc. I directed many musical shows with superstars, top ratings sitcoms, Olympic games in Europe, many telethons and super galas. After retiring in 1999, I took back my brushes with great pleasure. Although I’ve never left them very far away during my main career, painting occasionally has a hobby, I can now spent most of my time creating with passion. I dig the vein of science fiction. A fiction for which I have a quite natural attraction having spent my life to build fictitious universes.
In June 2007, working in close collaboration with Mr Serge Simard, we developed a new approach in visual art. A series of paintings made on recycled metal. Our approach consists in using metal of accidented car parts, such as hoods, doors, and to recycled them into support for our piece of arts.
We use acrylic paint, including sections sculptured with modeling paste, on supports made of recycled parts of metal. The visual of it give us a 3D effect with all the movement coming from waved metal, volume structure made with the modeling paste and mostly from the layers of metal. We can see the painting in foreground composed of one or two layers and then the frame in background. The final result is ecological, spectacular and of good taste.
