François-Vassil ANDREEFF

Born in 1937 at Paris (France) ( French family and Bulgarian family), the artist has been influenced by Turner's and Whistler's light and sensibility bewitched since his youth by the great impressionist masters. He is used to showing his work in several galleries throughout France and abroad as well.
His canvases are enchantments of color and poetry. The mood and places seem familiar although very often purely Imaginative. The light, rendered almost transparent is warm, easy to look at.
The viewer is invited to a horizon by the magie of the artist. The landscape vastness renders silence and musical peacefulness allowing the gaze a portion of dream enhanced by the sensual imprint of the fauvists.
You should be seduced by Andreeff's work with its simplicity and spontaneity. In his work, the essentials are rendered free of superfluity, the theme being lightly suggested.
